Is the WebP animation kept?
Yes, in browsers that support WebCodecs image decoding (Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers). Elsewhere the first frame is used.
Why is the GIF bigger than the WebP?
WebP compresses much better than GIF. Use the Small preset, fewer colors or a smaller width to bring the size down.
Is the GIF maker really free with no watermark?
Yes. There is no watermark and no account needed. Everything is processed in your browser.
How do I make a GIF smaller?
Use the Balanced or Small preset, lower the width, reduce colors, raise lossy compression or drop every second frame. Keep "Store only changed pixels" on.
How many frames can a GIF have?
Up to 600 frames. For sharing, a few seconds at 10 to 15 fps and 480px wide is a good balance of smoothness and size.
Are my files uploaded?
