How much smaller will my GIF get?
It depends on the content. Screen recordings and GIFs with static backgrounds often shrink 50 to 80%. Video-like GIFs gain most from lossy compression and a smaller width.
Will compressing lower the quality?
The Best quality preset keeps all 256 colors and only removes redundant data. Lossy compression and fewer colors save more space with a visible but controllable quality trade-off.
Is the GIF maker really free with no watermark?

How do I make a GIF smaller?
Use the Balanced or Small preset, lower the width, reduce colors, raise lossy compression or drop every second frame. Keep "Store only changed pixels" on.
How many frames can a GIF have?
Up to 600 frames. For sharing, a few seconds at 10 to 15 fps and 480px wide is a good balance of smoothness and size.
